2024 SHE POWER 10K & 5K – ALPHARETTA!

The SHE Power 10K & 5K is an event designed to empower women of all ages and abilities (Sorry guys, no men allowed in this one).  Join us Sunday, September 22, 2024 in beautiful Alpharetta Georgia and celebrate your strength, your beauty, and your determination…one mile at a time!  We gather together to focus on how good it feels to be in motion, because it’s all about SHE Power!

Pre-Race Email Details

The SHE Power 10K & 5K starts at 7:30am on Sunday, October 8th – See the full schedule at the bottom of this page.

All participants receive:

  • A beautiful scenic run on a safe and secured course!  Start and finish through the North Point area of Alpharetta.
  • The 2023 SHE Power Finisher Medal (10K & 5k)
  • The 2023 SHE Power collection – In an effort to keep prices affordable for everyone, and to help reduce our environmental impact and waste, event shirts are now optional but can be added at a significantly reduced rate if selected during registration (note: discount offered only during registration, items must be picked up and will not be shipped):
    • Women’s cut v-neck short sleeved tee in a beautiful “Heather Loganberry” color. 
    • Women’s muscle tank in a pretty “Lavender Blue” color.

Course Information

Please see course maps for information and location on the start location and water stops.

  • Water stop at the midpoint of the course plus at the lap for the 10K runners
  • Water and electrolyte drink available at both locations
  • If you have additional race nutritional requirements, please plan ahead to bring what you need.

Start Location is at Dave & Buster’s at North Point, 6500 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022

The following roads will have lane restrictions from 7:00am until 9:30am on race day (Oct 8).

  • North Point Parkway, one lane eastbound from Mansell Road to Haynes Bridge Road
  • Haynes Bridge Road southbound from North Point Parkway to Mansell Road
  • Mansell Road westbound from Haynes Bridge Road to North Point Parkway

Event Details

Schedule & Location

We are excited to announce the Alpharetta Georgia SHE Power 10K & 5k.

Saturday, October 7th

Sunday, October 8th

  • 6:00am-7:00am – Packet Pickup at the race start
  • 7:30am – 10K Start
  • 7:35am – 5K Start (walkers welcome, course cutoff is 9:30am, all participants pushing strollers must start in the back) 
  • 8:18am – 10K Lap Cutoff
    • You must complete your first lap of the 10K within 48 minutes of the start. You will not be allowed to continue after this time, however you will be scored in the 5K if you miss this cutoff.
  • 9:30am – Course Closed
  • Start/Finish is outside Dave & Buster’s North Point

There is plenty of parking for this event in the North Point area, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race start time.

All finishers receive the coveted SHE Power medal. 

Additional Awards for the overall Top 3 Women in both the 10K and the 5K

Also, Top 3 Women in the following Age Groups will receive a commemorative SHE Power ceramic tile:

  • 45-49
  • 50-54
  • 55-59
  • 60-64
  • 65-69
  • 70+

SHE Power 10K & 5K specific rules & guidelines:

CUTOFF TIMES – to complete the 10K you must complete your first lap within 48 minutes of the start time.  If you do not make this cutoff, you will not be allowed to continue and you will be moved to the 5K.

PETS – dogs and other pets are not allowed on the course or in the start/finish area

STROLLERS

  • Strollers are NOT ALLOWED in the 10K
  • Strollers are allowed at the 5K event subject to the following requirements:
    • Your child must be 3 or younger
    • Strollers may not be larger than 31″ wide
    • Stroller wagons are not allowed
    • No other wheels are allowed, so no wagons, scooters, etc.
